Mulch installation can provide several benefits for your landscape beds such as giving it a nice uniform appearance, it can also help to reduce the amount of weeds, it can help retain moisture, and it helps insulate and protect your plants root systems during cold weather. Adding mulch to your landscape beds is a key part of maintaining a healthy looking landscape.
There are several different types of mulch available at local landscape supply yards. Our standard choices are premium triple shredded black or brown hardwood mulch.
GroundSmith is a landscaping contractor based out of Lewis Center, Ohio. We serving residential properties in Delaware County including Dublin, Powell, and Delaware, Ohio. We offer delivery and spreading of several different types of mulch for landscape beds of all sizes. We can deliver and spread mulch throughout your landscape beds, flower beds and landscape features for both residential and commercial clients.
Edging Your Landscape Beds Before Mulch Installation
The difference between an average and quality mulch job is the edge. Edging the landscapes beds will create a more established edge to separate your mulched beds from the lawn and other landscape features. This also helps keep the mulch in the bed, and helps keep the grass from spreading into the bed, as well as gives your landscape beds a nice crisp look.
Preparation Of Landscape Beds
Prior to spreading mulch in your landscape beds they should be properly weeded and cleaned up. This would include removal of any leaves or organic debris in the beds. Shrubs and bushes and any surrounding tree cover should be pruned and trimmed back to prevent the organic debris from falling into your newly spread mulch. We are happy to add bed preparation and clean up services into your estimate. It makes an amazing difference in how good the mulch will look after installation.
Mulch Installation Pricing
Our mulching estimates include delivery costs, spreading (approx 1 man hr per yard), edging of your landscape beds, and a clean up of the delivery area. You'll be really happy with the new, uniform look your landscape beds will have!

- Delivery and installation of premium triple shredded hardwood mulch (approx 2" deep).
- Clean up of the work area. We'll leave no trace!
We do not offer “delivery only” services on mulch. We are a landscaping company and not a product supplier. If you require mulch delivered for you to install on your own, we suggest contacting your nearest landscape supply company.

So there are a lot of lawn care companies. most of them will do a good job making your lawn look better than your neighbors. However not all of them show a great attention to detail or listen when you make requests. You're in a cattle call and a speed through their job. That is not the case with groundsmith. Scott’s team is great! His crew has been mowing and treating our lawn for the last 3 years. They have also done a few landscaping projects for us as well. Last summer we installed a pool. Because of the construction our front, side and back yards were torn up.
